DIVISIONAL - U14 TO U18

DIVISION 1

Selected Teams at U14 - U18 are playing at the top tier of grassroots soccer with full-time professional coach assigned.

  • Teams practice twice a week. Practice schedules are set just prior to the season and are selected by the volunteer team officials to best fit their schedules.

  • Teams start training for the last two weeks of August (pre-season) in preparation for the start of league play.

  • Technical development, session plans and support for our paid coaches is provided by our Technical Director.

  • All players at this level are continually assessed and will have two player coach reviews during the season. This process is in place to provide the players have the opportunity to play at a higher level, BC Soccer Premier League should they wish to.

  • Teams at these age groups play games every weekend through the season in the BC Coastal Soccer League - Boys teams play on Saturday and Girls teams generally play on Sunday.

  • Practice for teams will also be on turf when available.

    • Please note that field locations are dependant on what is available by Vancouver Parks Board.

  • Teams will have home and away games.

    • Away games will take place in Vancouver or in other cities.

    • Locations and times and will be confirmed with Marpole Team Officials prior to the game day.

  • The season starts the weekend after Labour Day and runs through to the first week in March with some teams playing to June if they have reached the cup phases.

  • Schedules for U14 - U18 are not created by Marpole Soccer Club but by BC Coastal Soccer League with schedules being sent to the Clubs. Schedules are also available online and Marpole will share those links to team officials once available.

    • practices and matches may get cancelled due to weather or other factors beyond our control.

  • Each team has team officials including a coach and manager, and possibly assistant or co-coaches. All team officials are volunteers, have passed Criminal Records Checks and are usually parents or guardians of players on the team. The coach will run practices and games. The team manager will manage the TeamSnap account, distribute schedules and assign duties such as snack and field lining to parents.

Division 1 players should register by JUNE 1 to help ensure placement on team.

  • Please note there are maximum players allowed on a team per BC Coastal Soccer League Rules.

COST PER PLAYER: $1300.00

All Age Groups

  • Players must purchase KIT for $60. Includes 2 x match jerseys, 1 x shorts, 1 x socks.

  • Players must provide their own soccer cleats and shin guards.

DIVISION 2 & 3

Teams at U14 - U18 are put into Division categories (Division 2 and Division 3) with teams in these Divisions having a volunteer coach assigned.

  • Teams practice twice a week. Practice schedules are set just prior to the season and are selected by the volunteer team officials to best fit their schedules.
  • Technical development, session, plans and support for our volunteer coaches is provided by our Technical Director.

Financial Support

Marpole Soccer Club Society is committed to making sure all children have the chance to play soccer. We strive to create a playing environment that is accessible to everyone and help remove any financial obstacles that may cause concern.

Any family or guardian seeking special consideration may contact the Club Registrar in confidence to discuss their options. 

Families seeking financial assistance from the organizations listed below are encouraged to contact them as quickly as possible.  Families are encouraged to file their application right away to give enough time for processing and their child can be placed on a team in a timely manner. Please also let the Club Registrar know you have filed the application.

The KidSport™ Fund

The KidSport™ Fund is a program of Sport BC designed to “remove the financial obstacles that prevent underprivileged children from playing sport in British Columbia”.
