FIRST KICKS

U4 = 2021  U5 = 2020  U6 = 2019 U7 = 2018

Players at U4 to U7 are placed on teams based on registrations, friend requests are available in forming teams. Each team will have a qualified coach assigned. Youth coaches will also be part of the program to develop their skills in leading soccer.

Our trained coaches provide the FUNdamentals of soccer with fun games, techniques, and skill development.

  • Sessions are once a week.
    • SUNDAYS
    • Starts: First Sunday in OCTOBER
    • Ends: Last Sunday in FEBRUARY
    • U4 to U6 Boys & Girls – 1pm to 2pm
    • U7 Boys & Girls – 2pm to 3pm
    • No program on holiday weekends (Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Winter Break, and Family Day)
    • Each player is given soccer jersey, soccer shorts and soccer socks sponsored by Tim Hortons Timbit Program.
  • Each session has team officials including a coach, and possibly assistant or co-coaches. All team officials are volunteers or paid staff, have passed Criminal Records Checks.

FIRST KICKS players should register by SEPTEMBER 1 to help ensure placement on team.

  • Players must provide their own indoor shoes and shin guards.

Financial Support

Marpole Soccer Club Society is committed to making sure all children have the chance to play soccer. We strive to create a playing environment that is accessible to everyone and help remove any financial obstacles that may cause concern.

Any family or guardian seeking special consideration may contact the Club Registrar in confidence to discuss their options.

Families seeking financial assistance from the organizations listed below are encouraged to contact them as quickly as possible.  Families are encouraged to file their application right away to give enough time for processing and their child can be placed on a team in a timely manner. Please also let the Club Registrar know you have filed the application.

The KidSport™ Fund

The KidSport™ Fund is a program of Sport BC designed to “remove the financial obstacles that prevent underprivileged children from playing sport in British Columbia”.
